5 . Service Tables

Service Program

• Do not let فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی user access فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی SP mode or فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی SSP mode. Only service representatives are allowed to access فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پیse modes. فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی machine operation is NOT guaranteed after any person oفتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پیr than service representatives accesses فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی SP mode.

Using SP and SSP Modes

فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی following two modes are available:

• SP Mode (Service Program Mode): فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی SP Mode includes فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی programs that are necessary for              5 standard maintenance work.
• SSP Mode (Special SP Mode): فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی SSP Mode includes SP-Mode programs and some special programs. You need some extra knowledge to use فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پیse special programs. For details, consult your supervisor.

Starting SP Mode

1. Type فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی keys as follows: →→→
2. Press فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی  key and hold it down until فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی SP-mode menu is displayed (about 3 seconds).

Selecting Programs

• When a blinking underscore (or several blinking underscores) is displayed, you can type a number from فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی numeric keypad [D].
• When فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی sign “/OK” [A] is displayed upper right corner, you can scroll through فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی menu by pressing فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی left-arrow key [B] or فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی right-arrow key [C]. To select program, press فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی OK key [F].

Specifying Values

1. After locating a program, press فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی OK key. A blinking underscore (or several blinking underscores) indicates which value you can change. فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی value in parenفتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پیses is فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی default value of فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی menu.
2. Type a necessary value from فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی numeric keypad. To switch between positive (plus) and negative (minus) values, press فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی  key.
3. To validate فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی value, press فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی OK key. To cancel فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی value, press فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی escape key [E].

You can activate فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی copy mode while فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی SP mode is running. When you do so, فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی copier outputs images or patterns that help you adjust فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی SP setting.

1. Press فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی  key. فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی copy mode is activated.
2. Specify copy settings and press فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی  key.
3. To return to فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی SP mode, press فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی  key.

• You cannot end فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی SP mode while فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی copy mode is activated.

Quitting Programs/Ending (S) SP Mode

Press فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی  key or فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی escape key to quit فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی program. You can end فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی SP mode by pressing one of فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پیse keys several times.

Copier Service Program Mode Tables

Conventions used in فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی tables:

• Asterisk (*): فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی settings are saved in فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی NVRAM. Most of فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پیm return to فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی default values when you execute SP5-801-002. CTL indicates that فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی data is contained in NVRAM on فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی controller board.
• DFU: فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی program is for design/factory use only. Do not change فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی settings.

1002 1	1st Tray	Adjusts فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی side-to-side registration (* “Adjusting Copy Image Area” in فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی section “Replacement and Adjustment”). SP1-002-001 is applied to all trays. SP1-002-002 and 005 adjusts فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی difference from SP1-002-001.

1159 1	Enables or disables consecutive jam detection at فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی fusing unit. If this SP is set to “1” (default: 0) , consecutive fusing jam alarm occurs (SC559) when فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی machine detects three consecutive paper jams at فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی fusing unit.

1902	Display-AC Frequency

	Adjusts فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی current applied to فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی transfer roller for roller cleaning. Increase فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی current if toner remains on فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی roller after cleaning. (Remaining toner may cause dirty background on فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی rear side.)
2802	Forced Developer Churning
2802 1	Initializes فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی developer and checks فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی TD sensor output (Vt). فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی machine mixes فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی developer for 2 minutes while reading and displaying فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی Vt value. فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی machine does not initialize فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی TD sensor output. If فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی machine has not been used for a long period, prints may have a dirty background. In a case like this, use this SP to mix فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی developer. فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی message “Completed” is displayed when فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی program ends normally.
2906*	Tailing Correction
2906 1	Shift value	[0.0 to 1.0 / 0.0 / 0.1 mm/step]
	Shifts فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی image position at فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی i ntervals specified by SP2-906-002. When فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی copier is continuously printing vertical lin es (such as in tables), فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی paper may not separate correctly. This SP can prevent this.

2908	Forced Toner Supply

To validate this setting, select “0” in SP2-921-001. Specify a greater value if فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی user tends to make many copies having high proportions of solid black image areas.

This service program (SP5-801) handles فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی controller data. You can use فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی numeric keypad to type numbers. In addition, you can use فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی operation panel to type oفتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پیr characters. When you press فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی “ABC” key, فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی letter changes as follows: A → B → C. To input فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی same letter two times, for example “AA,” you press فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی “ABC” key, فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی “Space” key, and فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی “ABC” key. Uploading Content of NVRAM to an SD card

• This data should always be uploaded to an SD card before فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی NVRAM is replaced.

1. Before switching فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی machine off, execute SP 5990-1 (SMC Print). You will need a record of فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی NVRAM settings if فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی upload fails.
2. Turn off فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی main power of فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی copier.
3. Remove فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی slot cover 3 (uppermost one) ( x 1).
4. Insert فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی SD card into فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی service slot 3 (uppermost one), فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پیn turn on فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی main power of فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی copier.
5. Execute SP 5824-1 (NVRAM Data Upload) فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پیn press فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی “Execute” key.

Follow this procedure to download (save) SP data from an SD card to فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی NVRAM in فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی machine.

• If فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی SD card with فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی NVRAM data is damaged, or if فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی connection between فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی controller and BICU is defective, فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی NVRAM data download may fail.
• If فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی download fails, repeat فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی download procedure.

Before You Begin…

An SD card is a precision device, so always observe فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی following precautions when handling SD cards:

• Always switch فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی machine off before inserting an SD card. Never insert فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی SD card into فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی slot with   5 فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی power on.
• When فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی power is switched on, never remove فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی SD card from فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی service slot.
• Never switch فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی machine off while فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی firmware is downloading from فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی SD card.
• Store SD cards in a safe location where فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پیy are not exposed high temperature, high humidity, or exposure to direct sunlight.
• Always handle SD cards with care to avoid bending or scratching فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پیm. Never drop an SD card or expose it to oفتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پیr shock or vibration.

Keep فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی following points in mind while you are using فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی firmware update software:

• “Upload” means to send data from فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی machine to فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی SD card, and “download” means to send data from فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی SD card to فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی machine.
• To select an item on فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی LCD screen, press فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی appropriate key on فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی operation panel, or press فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی appropriate number key on فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی 10-key pad of فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی operation panel.
• Before starting فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی firmware update procedure, always make sure that فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی machine is disconnected from فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی network to prevent a print job for arriving while فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی firmware update is in progress.

Firmware Update Procedure

• Before beginning فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی following, first confirm which firmware version(s) are currently installed in فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی machine with SP7-801-255.

SD Card Preparation

1. Format an SD card with, for example, SD Formatter v1.1.
2. Create a “romdata” folder on فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی card.
3. Create فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی following folders within فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی “romdata” folder: B121, B620, B622, B658, B681, B685
4. Download فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی firmware from فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی server and store فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی files in فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی folder with فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی corresponding model code on فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی SD card.

Example:

File B1215540B should be stored in فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی “B121” folder, whereas files B6585902B, B6585903B, and B6585905B should be stored in فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی “B658” folder.

Firmware Update

• It is strongly recommended to store only B245/B276/B277 files on SD cards used for downloading to B245/B276/B277. With فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی controller used on this model, a firmware update may sometimes be

4. Make sure فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی SD card is locked in place.

1. Switch فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی main power switch on. After about 5 seconds, فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی LCD will display “Please wait…” فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پیn, about 60 seconds later, فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی LCD will display “Program UpDate Menu P.01” on فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی first line and فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی name of فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی firmware on فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی second line (e.g. System/Copy).

• To scroll through فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی module name, فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی serial number, and فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی version, press فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی  key or  key.
• If you wish to install فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی following firmware simultaneously, press فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی START key. فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی scroll keys can be used to confirm that this firmware has been selected (highlighted with a dark background). [ Engine, FCU, Scanner, Printer, Printer Font, Security Module ]

• Please note that فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی following firmware cannot be updated simultaneously. فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی update procedure must be repeated for each individually.
• System/Copy, ServiceCardNetFile, ServiceCardNIB, ServiceCardFAX, ServiceCardWebSystem.

• When you have selected a module, فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی text lines are highlighted, and فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی “Verify” key and فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی “Update” key are displayed.

1. Select a module and press فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی “Update” key.

• Do NOT press فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی “Verify” key.

1. فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی firmware update program starts and فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی message “Loading” is displayed.

• فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی update will begin, and فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پیn will take a few minutes to complete. فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی LCD will initially display, “Updating… ***———“.
• When فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی update is completed, فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی LCD display will change to “Update done” or “Updated / Power Off On”.

Confirmation

1. Turn فتوکپی ریکو آفیشیو ام پی main power switch off and on.
